Claus and Amelia Heuermann purchased the Farm House and surrounding land in 1911.
Mr. and Mrs. Heuermann had two boys and one girl. From 1911 until 1952 they had a
working farm. In 1952 they remodeled the original farmhouse and opened Fairview Chicken
Dinners. The restaurant quickly gained recognition for its delicious fried chicken.
To this day the restaurant is still known for its delicious fried chicken.

In 1975 Mrs. Heuermann was placed in a nursing home. From 1975 until 1984 the restaurant was
operated by the second generation. The remaining son and daughter, who took over
management of the restaurant, opened for “reservation only” dining. As a result the
business declined and the property deteriorated during those years.

In 1985 the third generation purchased the restaurant, fixtures and land. The current ownership
is the only daughter of the second generation. Through advertising, hard work and reinvestment
current ownership has improved annual revenue by 350% since their acquisition. Today Fairview
Farms Restaurant averages 160 diners per day for the 300 days of open business. The third
generation hopes to continue the traditions of the first generation and pass on some traditions
of their own to future generations. The restaurant is still well known for its Greaseless
Fried Chicken, as well as Swiss steak that melts in your mouth, Roast Beef you can cut with a
fork, Ham, cured and smoked to perfection and Alaskan Whiting.
Current ownership has established itself as a family friendly home style-cooking restaurant.
The restaurant is well known for its unlimited servings of fried chicken, Swiss steak,
corn fritters and trimmings at a reasonable cost.
